1. Cervical lesions:
Cervical lesions includes inflammation, injury, tumor (including pre-cancerous lesions), malformation and endometriosis. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), i.e. cervical precancerous lesions, specifically refers to pre-cancerous lesions of histologically confirmed invasive cervical cancer through biopsy. The key to prevent and treat cervical cancer lies in prevention of precancerous lesions, detection and treatment. Our hospital now has all of the test items and equipment for diagnosis and treatment: TCT, HPV testing, colposcopy, cervical perm, LEEP surgery. Our department has a specific outpatient for the cervical disease to carry out comprehensive treatment and prevention of cervical precancerous lesions.
Colposcopy: examination of cervix with advanced equipment allowing lesions to be visualized and magnified 30 times. Typically this exam is recommended if you have had an abnormal pap smear that may be concerning for precancerous lesions of the cervix. If any abnormality is detected by colposcopy, a biopsy, or tissue sample, may be warranted. If your doctor feels this is necessary, then you may experience some discomfort, abdominal cramping and minor bleeding during or after the procedure.

LEEP knife technology is, currently, the most advanced means of treatment for cervical disease. If you have been confirmed through colposcopy to have a dangerous cervical lesion, your doctor may recommend you have LEEP procedure to remove part of the cervix and the surrounding diseased tissue. LEEP knife technology uses a series of varied forms of high frequency radiosurgical knife to treat all kinds of cervical. It has been shown to improve safety and decrease surgical complications, is more efficient, and requires no hospitalization.
2. Hysteroscopy:
Hysteroscopy can be used to assist in diagnosis and treat a variety of diseases, such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, submucosal fibroids, endometrial polyps, intrauterine contraceptive ring and removal of post-abortion fetal tissue residue, etc.
The hysteroscope is a machine with a camera which is used to directly visualize the uterine cavity. The scope is passed into the vaginal opening and through the cervix It can help a gynecologist determine the location, size, appearance and range of the existence of a lesion. Additionally, the hysteroscope is specially equipped with tools which allows for minor surgical procedures within the uterine cavity; in cases such as intrauterine myomectomy, endometrial resection and ablation.
The invention of the hysteroscope is an amazing technological advance, helping treat women who may have otherwise required surgical operation and hysterectomy (surgical removal of uterus). It has also been shown to be beneficial for diagnostic studies related to infertility and uterine deformity.
