Our current Chief Physician, He Ru-Min, Professor, tutor of Master, specializes in the treatment of a variety of critical and complicated cardiac diseases, including coronary heart disease, a variety of arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms), resistant or uncontrolled high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypertrophic (enlarged heart muscles) heart disease, dilated heart disease, ischemic heart disease, and congestive heart failure just to name a few.

Symptoms of Heart Disease:
There is no single specific symptom that determines someone has heart disease, since in general each symptom is nonspecific. However if you experience some or all of the following symptoms, we recommend you be evaluated by your doctor to determine if you may have heart disease. Symptoms include crushing or sharp chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, palpitations (often indicating heartbeat lowering, increasing or irregular), dizziness, syncope, etc. Additionally, if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, are male, a smoker, or have family history of heart disease, this increases the likelihood that you will have heart disease.

Heart disease can be detected in a variety of ways; routine lab work can determine if you have a recent heart attack. EKG monitoring and holter monitor help doctors to view your heart rhythmn; in some instances old heart injuries can be detected on an EKG. Sometimes, your doctor will recommend you have an echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound of your heart. This allows doctors to visualize your heart in real time, noting its pumping and valve functions.
